Ron Mitori, Author

My wife Barb and I have been married for 43 years and have a daughter who lives in Colorado. I grew up and started my career in Chicago, the home of iconic deep-dish pizzas and Chicago hot dogs. We then escaped the humid summers and cold-snowy winters for the perfect weather of Honolulu. Our daughter was born there, and vacations were often spent enjoying the natural sites and culture on neighboring islands. We then moved to southern California before finally landing in Dallas.

My volunteer efforts have included professional and charitable organizations, including churches, schools, and organizations for children with special needs.

My passion has been identifying and implementing ways to improve the companies I worked for. Before retiring, I had spent 40 years primarily as a CFO, working in different industries with very different challenges. Sometimes, those solutions required boldness and creativity, and sometimes, just a hefty dose of common sense. I have worked for a Fortune 500 company, helped a company go public very quickly, and led efforts to improve other companies' profits, operations, and systems.

I have had a life-long interest in government and politics and liked complaining from the sidelines. Long-standing problems in our country were not being solved and were actually worsening, but I did not know how and why we got to this place and where it is leading. Maybe some of you have similar thoughts and feelings.

I decided to research and write a book that answered those questions about the decline in the US. Those answers are in the first five chapters of Solutions Or Socialism, which will be available in January 2025. My approach to solving business challenges was adapted to solving societal and governmental issues in a 5-step process called Solutionism. That process is demonstrated in the last six chapters of the book, dealing with six critical national security threats. This is how we can wake up and woke down before it’s too late. Other major problems will be covered in a second book.

Chapter 1 of the first book identifies 12 of our country’s most impactful Founding Principles and shows how they have been corrupted or ignored. The origin of the US decline can be traced to this deterioration. If you are curious and frustrated by our country's current decay and chaos, I  promise you will gain insight, clarity, and understanding if you click here for a free download of that chapter.
